I love to create stories and different fantasy themed creatures. This is a collection of some creature designs and concepts for one of my stories.
In this story the world has run out of fossil fuels and is running low on various other nature resources as well, to compensate people turn toward genetic modification and create these creatures called biomechs, genetically engineered creatures to replace machines.
This is a Grimgore or grim for short. This deisgn is the most fleshed out design I have created so far.
These biomechs are all inspired by dinosaurs, so a lot of them will have a similar build the prehistoric creature they were based off of. The tools I use to create these designs has changed over the years, as well as the style the design where drawn in, but the process has remain relatively the same.
All of these concepts were made in Sketchbook Pro or Adobe Photoshop. To make one of these design I choose a dinosaur as a reference for the main body shape and then add features from a couple of different modern day creatures. After that I add some more robotic looking components, some of my older design don't have this last step.
